State Rep. Steve Malagari says more than $4.1 million in state grants is supporting communities in the 53rd Legislative District, including Lansdale.
The largest awards include $2.3 million for Franconia sewer infrastructure and $1.1 million for libraries serving the district.
Other funding supports water infrastructure, Franconia police equipment, Montgomery County mental health services, electrical worker training and improvements to VFW Post 5308.
Malagari also highlighted state budget measures for schools, student teachers, eligible retired public employees and working families.
Locally, a summer shredding and electronics recycling event served more than 700 people, while Family Fest connected residents with community resources.
A free document shredding event is planned for October 31, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Knapp Elementary School in Lansdale.
Residents can also visit Malagari’s district office at 100 West Main Street for help with state programs, including property tax and rent rebates. Read More... |
